TMC MPs’ infighting in open after BJP shares videos, chats
As gleefully shared by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s spokesperson and also chief of its IT cell, Amit Malviya, it ended up becoming a slanging match between the TMC’s lawmakers, that continued into Friday night on a WhatsApp group of the party’s MPs.
Then, on Tuesday, two senior party MPs spoke to the press.
The purported chats feature angry exchanges between Serampore MP Kalyan Banerjee and Bardhaman-Durgapur MP Kirti Azad. Banerjee’s purported chat also refers to a “versatile international lady”, which is believed to be Krishnanagar MP Mahua Moitra. Read more.

Calling out what it described as a “growing and dangerous” trend of governors creating political roadblocks to frustrate state governments, a bench of justices JB Pardiwala and R Mahadevan underlined that governors must function within the four corners of the Constitution and not derail the democratic will of the people expressed through their elected representatives.
