Earlier, the district collector was asked to submit a detailed project on constructing a new school building as a model school under the 5T initiative of the government. NDRI scientists develop a machine to study the impact of high wind velocity
Scientists at the National Dairy Research Institute in Karnal have developed a machine to study the impact of weather and wind events on dairy livestock. The machine, developed under the National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) project, can generate wind speeds from 1 to 80 km per hour. It will help to assess the risk vulnerability of extreme weather. The machine can monitor the physiological parameters, productivity, sudden biochemical variations and stress-related hormones of the animals and the information will be helpful in generating data related to extreme wind events.
