Survey: 99% households have access to banking
Among all government schemes being delivered on a mission mode, it is banking that now covers 99% households while access to gas connections has seen the sharpest increase over the last 10 years, a survey has showed. Woman, son killed in accident
A 36-year-old woman named Zarina Ansari and her son, Hasan, died after a tractor hit their scooter near a crossroads on Monday. AMTS to buy 300 buses in 2023-24

Man threatens serial blasts in Ahmedabad, held in UP
A letter threatening bomb blasts on Republic Day in Ahmedabad was received by the city police commissioner's office on Wednesday. A city crime branch team has been roped in to investigate the case. Sources in Uttar Pradesh Police said the sender, identified as Om Prakash Paswan from Ballia, has been detained and questioned. The letter, allegedly sent by Paswan, reads "Kal 26 January ko Ahmedabad me tabahi hi tabahi hogi tomorrow, January 26, there will be destruction in Ahmedabad." The letter listed the areas where the blasts would occur, including at around 11 am on Republic Day. Paswan and his wife have mental illnesses, and the letter was written by them.
