Ranji Trophy 2022 (Ranji Trophy 2022) The matches for the second round of the season have started. In these matches, which started on Thursday 24 February, funny incidents were seen on the very first day of the Elite Group H match being played between Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh. On behalf of Tamil Nadu, the life of the team's middle order twin brothers saved their team from getting stuck in a difficult situation by scoring a tremendous century. Hundreds of both put Tamil Nadu in a better position. These are twin brothers who hit a century – Baba Inderjit (Baba Indrajith) and baba undefeated (Baba Aparajith), Inderjeet completed his century with the bat first, while Aparajith displayed restrained batting and touched the third-figure mark after the tee-break.
Indrajit, who started the tournament with a century in the very first match of the season against Delhi, continued his strong batting line-up against Chhattisgarh as well. The 27-year-old batsman came at number four and handled the innings with his brother Aparajith, who had come out to bat at number three. Both the brothers took the team's innings forward with a score of 59 runs and made a double century partnership for the third wicket. The partnership of 206 runs between the two laid a good foundation for a big score for Tamil Nadu.
Inderjit's second consecutive century
Inderjit further improved the score of 117 runs against Delhi and this time blew 127 runs. He faced only 141 balls during his innings and hit 21 fours during this period. His counter attacking innings gave strength to Tamil Nadu. This was his 11th first class century. He was bowled by Ajay Mandal and gave the third blow to Tamil Nadu.
However, Chhattisgarh was not relieved by the dismissal of Inderjit as the other brother Aparajit also stuck his peg and he too got frozen. After this, Aparajith took over the innings of the team with Shahrukh Khan and crossed 300 runs. During this, he also hit the 10th century of his first class career.
Tamil Nadu in strong position
However, Tamil Nadu captain Vijay Shankar could not even open the account in this innings and returned to the pavilion after playing 9 balls. By the end of the first day's play, Tamil Nadu had scored 308 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Undefeated 101 and Shahrukh returned unbeaten on 28. 42 runs partnership has been done between the two. For Chhattisgarh, Mandal took the highest 2 wickets, while Sumit Ruikar got one success.
