IPL (IPL) In the last 14 years of history, many players have been successful in making a place in Team India on the basis of their excellent performance in different teams of this league. The fortunes of many domestic cricketers have also changed. Now some franchises are trying to make a strong presence in Indian cricket at the grassroots level and in this sequence the most successful team in the history of the league is Chennai Super Kings. (CSK) has also taken its step. CSK will soon have its own cricket academy (Chennai Super Kings Academy) Through which little boys and girls from across the country will be able to hone their cricketing skills. The first session in the academy will start from April 2022.
The Chief Executive Officer of the franchise, Kashi Vishwanathan gave this information on Sunday 27 February. In an official press release issued by the franchisee, the CEO was quoted as saying, "We have been associated with cricket for the last 5 decades and it is a way of doing something for the game. This is the right opportunity for us, through which we will be able to share our experience with the next generation of cricketers and groom them."
World class academies in Chennai and Salem
This academy of CSK, a franchise owned by former Board of Control for Cricket in India chairman N Srinivasan's company India Cements, will open in Chennai and Salem. They will be known as Super Kings Academy. In Chennai, it will be run in the Thoraipakkam area of the city, where all kinds of modern facilities will be available. It will have turf pitches as well as indoor and outdoor nets, which will also have arrangements for floodlights.
At the same time, the Academy of Salem will be built in a big field of 16 acres, which will have international level facilities. The most important thing is that BCCI certified coaches will be available to teach the nuances of the game in both the academies. Not only this, children taking training in the academy will also be taught about the training, strategies and modalities of CSK. For all these works, the players of Chennai Super Kings will also come occasionally to teach in the academy as guest lecturers.
CSK will get a big advantage!
The franchise also intends to take it to other parts of Tamil Nadu as well as to other countries including India in the coming years. CSK had placed bets on several domestic cricketers in the recent auction and bought them around the base price. In such a situation, in the coming years, the cricketers coming out of CSK's academy will also be ready to be a part of the franchise, because they will get an understanding of CSK's modus operandi and playing style from an early stage. Before Chennai, franchises like Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals have also started their training academies.
