As millennials who started our careers in the 2010s, we are learning and unlearning a lot from our Gen Z colleagues. In our rush to be seen as agreeable to our coworkers and managers, we use phrases such as “no problem” and “happy to help” a little more than needed. One young man rightfully called this out. Ritesh Giri said in an Instagram video that these phrases downplay the time and effort someone has invested. Techie couple turns travel influencersFrom workplace communication to career pivots, a topic that is always a favourite with our readers. Muskaan Mittal and Aashish Gupta are going viral on social media after revealing how much they earned as software engineers versus how much they make now as content creators. Three years into their travel content-creation journey, the couple has over 6 lakh Instagram followers. Most-read this weekSpeaking of the resolve and determination of the youth, our most-read story is of a 24-year-old woman who completed her college while raising a young child. A single mother, Mohana, juggled motherhood and her own education after realising that she had no choice but to be financially independent to raise her five-year-old daughter. Mohana, who lives in Tamil Nadu, got married after her Class 12. “Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, pregnancy, and motherhood, I had to discontinue my studies,” she told my colleague Trisha Sengupta.
