Prithviraj Sukumaran's acting journey began with the Malayalam film Nandanam in 2002. With the highest-grossing Malayalam film of the year 2006, Classmates, he made a name for himself as a prominent performer. At age 24, he became the youngest laureate of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for Vaasthavam.
