Ajith is one of the most-followed actors in the Tamil film industry. He enjoys a massive fan following across Tamil Nadu. But he is failing to expand his market to the Telugu states. Ajith has been trying to score a hit in Telugu for quite some time but is unable to do so.
This star hero has come up with Valimai the other day. The film received earth-shattering openings in Tamil Nadu. However, it failed to get at least notable collections in the Telugu states.
The same is the case with the Telugu dubbed versions of Ajith's previous films like Vishwasam, Vivegam, and Veeram. None of these movies managed to entertain Telugu audiences and ended up as box office failures.
One of the major reasons for the failure of Ajith in Telugu is the lack of promotions for his films. The other Tamil heroes like Vijay, Suriya, and Karthi are taking utmost care towards Telugu versions of their films in order to sustain their market here. But Ajith doesn't promote his films at all, be it in Tamil or Telugu. His strategy may work in Kollywood but not in Tollywood.
Valimai's director H.Vinoth scored a good hit in Telugu with his previous film Khakhee, which featured Karthi as the lead hero. Now, he scored a big flop with his recent outing.
The makers shouldn't have released Valimai in Telugu as it didn't have any buzz in the first place and it locked horns with Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak. They went against all these odds and ended up paying a huge price.
