The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on a high after the victory in the civic polls in Tamil Nadu. After the recent protest, BJP has taken a jibe at former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Actually, Rahul Gandhi had said in his address given in Parliament that BJP can never rule Tamil Nadu. Reminding him of this statement, BJP said that the results of the recent elections have changed the perception of Congress in this way. After DMK and AIADMK, BJP has now emerged as the third largest party ahead of Congress. BJP won in areas where it had never won before.
In the recent civic polls, the BJP has won 230 Nagar Panchayat wards, 56 Municipality wards and 22 Corporation wards, including a ward of the Greater Chennai Corporation. At the same time, in more than 20 wards, BJP came second after DMK. Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai claimed that BJP has emerged as the third largest party after DMK and AIADMK.

Rahul Gandhi had specifically mentioned Tamil Nadu in his Parliament speech and launched a scathing attack on PM Modi, saying that PM Modi works as a 'king' and in such a situation he will never be able to win the trust of those states. Where his party is not.
