How much paddy has been purchased so far?
So far, the government has procured 696 lakh metric tonnes of paddy in the Kharif marketing season 2021-22 (Paddy Procurement) has done. How much paddy was bought in which state
The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has told in its daily bulletin that Chhattisgarh is at number two in terms of paddy procurement. The farmers here have sold 92.01 lakh metric tonnes of paddy at MSP. In this case, Telangana is at number three with 70.22 lakh metric tonnes. 63.55 lakh in Uttar Pradesh, 55.31 lakh in Haryana, 47.87 lakh in Odisha, 45.83 in Madhya Pradesh and 39.36 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured in Bihar.
Who got the most money by selling paddy
So far, farmers across the country have received a total of Rs 1,36,351 crore as MSP of paddy. Among these, Punjab is at number one. Rs 36623.64 crore has been found here. 18033.96 crores to Chhattisgarh farmers, 10839.97 crores to Haryana farmers, 12553.55 crores to Uttar Pradesh farmers, 13763.12 crores to Telangana farmers, 6760.50 crores to Andhra Pradesh farmers and 8330.43 crores to Bihar farmers. Madhya Pradesh has got Rs 8981.92 crore and Odisha has got Rs 9677.99 crore.
Paddy procurement decreased again in Maharashtra
In the Kharif marketing season 2021-22, a total of Rs 2606.61 crore has been purchased so far in Maharashtra. Farmers have got this money in exchange for 1329901 tonnes of paddy. Whereas in 2019-20 Rs 3164 crore and in 2020-21, the farmers here sold paddy worth Rs 3547 crore. However, there is still time left for this buying season to end. It remains to be seen whether farmers will get more money by selling paddy in Maharashtra or else it will decrease.
